Alan Wang

HAI Postdoctoral Fellow

External Bio

Alan is a Human-Centered AI (HAI) Fellow and Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University affiliated with the Departments of Computer Science and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where he is advised by Professor Ehsan Adeli. Previously, he completed his PhD at Cornell University and Cornell Tech, where he was advised by Mert Sabuncu. Before that, he studied Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). His research interests are at the intersection of machine learning and medical imaging. In particular, he is interested in and has worked on developing deep learning algorithms for medical imaging and healthcare, with an emphasis on improving interpretability, robustness, and fairness of deep learning models in these contexts.
