Ashley Lewis

Ashley Lewis is an incoming BMI PhD Student. She has a background in bioengineering, which was my undergraduate degree. Ashley did a virtual internship with Stanford Summer Research Program (SSRP) last summer which ignited my interest in the potential use biomedical informatics to contribute to medicine as well as the current research efforts in a profound way. She is interested in developing machine learning algorithms that can uncover critical patterns in data that ultimately result in a deeper understanding of biological mechanisms.
