PhD Student, Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics, Stanford University

Jack Atherton works on design for human flourishing through amateur creativity and folk design. His work involves designing audiovisual interactions and experiences for new media, such as virtual reality. He studies artful design and interactive machine learning as applied to creative self-expression. These serve as a lens to investigate what it means to "program", who programs, and why.
