HAI Graduate Fellow
As a French-Australian PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering, until recently Jerome specialized in mechanism design and analysis for human-robot interaction. During the last three quarters he has been looking at technology’s influence on the human condition through the lenses of social philosophy and positive psychology. With a particular emphasis on wellness, his interests range from how technology can be a vector for compassion, to how it can also prevent us from healthily confronting death. Outside of research, he repairs electronic devices, writes piano arrangements, and explores forgotten places.
