Jim Breyer

Jim Breyer BS ’83, is the founder and CEO of Breyer Capital, a global venture capital firm based in Austin, TX, and Menlo Park, CA. He currently serves as a board member of Blackstone and previously served on the boards of 21st Century Fox, Dell, Facebook/Meta, and Wal-Mart, among others. Jim was formerly a Fellow of the President and Fellows of Harvard College (the Harvard Corporation). He currently serves as a trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, SFMOMA, and the American Film Institute. At Stanford, he is a founding member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the School of Engineering, chairman of the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund, a past member of the Parents’ Advisory Board, and a longtime reunion volunteer. Jim received his undergraduate degree from Stanford and MBA from Harvard Business School.
