Gabbrielle Johnson
Bersoff Faculty Fellow, Department of Philosophy, New York University
Gabbrielle Johnson works in philosophy of psychology (particularly perception and social cognition), philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, and philosophy of language. Her projects in these areas explore the nature and structure of social bias as it occurs in computational systems. Currently, her research extends theories of bias beyond individual agents to biases that manifest in machine learning algorithms and larger structural systems of injustice. After her time at NYU, she will join the Philosophy Department at Claremont McKenna College as an Assistant Professor.
