External Bio

Connor Lawless is a HAI Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University advised by Madeleine Udell and Ellen Vitercik. His research leverages tools from machine learning, computational optimization, and human-computer interaction to build human-centered systems for artificial intelligence and operations research. Prior to joining Stanford, he completed his PhD at Cornell University in Operations Research advised by Oktay Gunluk and spent time at both Microsoft Research and IBM Research. Outside of research, you’ll most likely find him hiking (27 national parks and counting!).
