Stanford HAI has built a major portfolio of education opportunities for state, federal, and international policy leaders to strengthen AI governance.
The Congressional Boot Camp on AI convenes staffers from both the House and Senate on Stanford University’s campus in California. The multiday, bipartisan boot camp consists of many sessions unpacking what AI means for international security, future of work, healthcare, and includes field trips to Stanford labs for interactive experiences. Each session features world-class scholars from Stanford University, leaders from Silicon Valley, and pioneers from civil society organizations. The 2025 boot camp is going to take place August 11-13, 2025.

This program, developed by Stanford Online, Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) and Apolitical, aims to provide the knowledge to help steer AI innovation in the right direction through core topic areas such as technology fundamentals, social implications, biases and trust, regulation, and more.
