Yuanhao Zou

HAI Graduate Fellow

Yuanhao Zou is a PhD student in History. His research focuses on early modern connections between East and West Asia through material culture, intellectual networks, and mobility. He is interested in the use of AI to preserve and and improve access to digitally-disadvantaged languages and historical scripts.

Yuanhao holds BAs in Mathematics and History from Carleton College. As a recipient of the Watson Fellowship, he spent a year traveling across 11 countries to document folk songs in minority and endangered languages. This experience continues to inform his commitment to language preservation and intercultural inquiry.
