Focusing on the opportunities and risks of AI technologies in particular application areas, government leaders and civil servants gain the knowledge needed to think critically about regulating and governing this emerging technology to ensure it benefits everyone.
The Congressional Boot Camp on AI convenes staffers from both the House and Senate on Stanford University’s campus in California. The multiday, bipartisan boot camp consists of many sessions unpacking what AI means for international security, future of work, healthcare, and includes field trips to Stanford labs for interactive experiences. Each session features world-class scholars from Stanford University, leaders from Silicon Valley, and pioneers from civil society organizations. The 2024 boot camp took place August 5-7, 2024.
