Joel Adu-Brimpong

Joel Adu-Brimpong

HAI Graduate Fellow

Joel Adu-Brimpong is a third-year MD/MBA student at Stanford with interests in the development of Learning Health Systems and digital health innovation. Prior to medical school, Joel served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, working with policy advisors to inform the development of the All of Us Precision Medicine Initiative and researching the social and biological determinants of obesity and cardiovascular disease. 

Additionally, Joel served as a digital health intern and healthcare administration fellow at Cleveland Clinic, collaborating with senior executives to reimagine patient-centered care delivery, digital medicine, and precision therapeutics. 

Joel’s research interests include evaluating the implementation and integration of emerging AI tools such as generative AI to support clinical/administrative tasks and workflows and employing AR/VR in the operating room to improve procedural safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
