Lu Yang

HAI Graduate Fellow

Lu Yang is a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering, Stanford University. She is advised by Prof. Russ B. Altman. Before my PhD, she did her undergrad in Bioengineering at UC San Diego and worked as a data scientist at Roche for the next generation sequencing technologies. She is excited to be part of the HAI fellowship program and contribute to the community. For her research, she is focused on developing Machine Learning algorithms for patient phenotyping using heterogeneous EHR in UK BioBank, including both clinical and genetic data. In her spare time, she likes to dance, draw, write, ski, do yoga occasionally, and go to the symphony concerts.
