Stanford HAI and the Hoover Institution’s Technology Policy Accelerator are jointly providing seed grant funding to support new, ambitious research that tackles important challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and geopolitics.

We fund proposals for research projects that take a technical and social science perspective, with findings that can generate policy insights and recommendations. Proposals must come from interdisciplinary teams reflecting at least one PI from the humanities or social sciences with at least one PI from a technical field.

Applications closed on May 1, 2026.

Visit the Call for Proposals for criteria and eligibility.
