What is a System One Model?

An AI model that works quickly and automatically, giving immediate answers based on patterns it has recognized in its training data. Unlike newer AI systems that show their work or reason through problems step-by-step, System One models produce fast responses without explaining their thinking process. Common examples include traditional chatbots, image recognition tools, and voice assistants that provide instant answers to questions.
