The Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI is pleased to announce that digital services and consulting firm Infosys has joined as a member of the Stanford HAI Corporate Affiliate Program.

The program brings industry together with Stanford faculty to explore research, policy and education opportunities around responsibly building and implementing artificial intelligence.

As a member of the affiliate program, Infosys will engage in areas around responsible AI - particularly the study of risks like bias, security threats, privacy violations, and copyright infringement while also improving transparency; AI model optimization for cost and scale; and well-designed, thoughtful AI agents that can improve processes.

“Stanford HAI plays an integral role in helping to accelerate advancements in foundation models while highlighting areas of concern around safety and societal impact,” said HAI Co-director James Landay. “We look forward to welcoming Infosys as a corporate affiliate member as we aim to unlock novel use cases, new research, and thoughtful design to ensure this technology benefits humans rather than causes harm.”

Mohammed Rafee Tarafdar, Infosys CTO, said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Stanford HAI, marking a significant milestone in our AI-first journey. Through this collaboration, Infosys will support the development of cutting edge thought leadership and research that will help enterprises accelerate their AI journey in a responsible manner. ”

“The program’s goal is to work with industry to advance response, human-centered technologies that benefit both companies and their ecosystems at large,” said Panos Madamopoulos-Moraris, Stanford HAI’s managing director for industry programs and partnerships. “We’re excited to engage with Infosys as we support research on the complex technical, policy, and governance challenges raised by AI.”

The HAI Corporate Affiliate Program engages with companies that share HAI’s mission to advance AI research, education, policy, and practice to improve the human condition. The program provides the opportunity for these companies to interact with Stanford faculty as well as other corporate members, through educational experiences, lectures, research, and more.
