Part 2: Guardrails and Regulation for a Vibrant AI Ecosystem

In this session, HAI Deputy Director Russell Wald and Mariano-Florentino (Tino) Cuéllar, president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and former California Supreme Court Justice, explore the potential impact of AGI on society, delving into the intricate intersection of technology, philosophy, and humanity's quest for intelligence. While acknowledging this transformative power, they will also highlight the associated risks and dangers, such as loss of control, unintended consequences, and existential threats to humanity.
